On its 44km length of paved stone, the Inca trail 5 days combines astonishing sceneries, ancient archeological Inca sites, exotic vegetation, wild fauna; ending up at Machupicchu (The lost city of the Incas). This 5-day program does not demand much fiscal effort and is designed for nature lovers, families with children, those people who want to get customized experience and take their time at a slow pace to enjoy the scenery, nature, archaeological sites along the way.

<p>Between 6:30 and 7:00 am, we pick you up at your hotel in our private transportation, we will drive to Piskacuchu 2700 m.a.s.l, a community on the 82 km of the railroad. After showing our passport at the check point, we begin our adventure on a slightly uphill which will lead us up to the lookout point of the valley from where we will see terraces and Inca sites far in the distance. Afterward, we continue about 2.5 hours following the road until Llactapata Inca city at 2.800 m. After a brief information about the site, we continue on throughout Kusichaca valley to reach our first campsite at Wayllabamba village at 3.000m.</p><p>Today's adventure will be relaxing, taking our time we will enjoy the spectacular views of mountains in the valley, Veronica Mt, one of the impressive snow capped raised up until 5,832 m. Without mentioning the diversity of wild flora can be seen all along the valley.</p><p></p><p> Meals: Snack, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.</p><p> Accommodation: sleeping in four season tents</p><p> Estimated walking time: about 6 - 7 hours</p><p> Walking Distance: 83.8 Miles / 13.5km.</p><p> Difficulty: Moderate.</p>

<p>Today, we wake up at around 6:00 am, and after breakfast, we leave Wayllabamba behind to begin the challenging part of the trek, which consists of an abrupt and steep ascent that stretches for 8 km. along this climb on the way to the first mountain pass, the Abra Warmihuañusca "Dead Woman´s Pass", the landscape changes from sierra to puna (a dry and high area with sparse vegetation). At this elevation, you may feel out of breath this a sign of altitude sickness reason of which we recommend to take some candy and coca leaves to prevent it. After a brief break and some pictures at the pass, we head downhill into the Pacaymayo valley at 3.600m, where we camp.</p><p>On our way, we will have the lunch at Llullucha Pampa from where we will be able to see the heights point of the Inca trail.</p><p></p><p> Meals: Snack, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.</p><p> Accommodation: sleeping in tents.</p><p> Estimated walking time: 8 hrs. including lunch and breaks</p><p> Walking distance: 9,3miles/15km</p><p> Difficulty: Moderate/challenge.</p>

<p>Today is the most impressive and interesting trek, due to the number of archaeological sites we will visit. After breakfast, we leave Pacaymayo to continue on the way uphill to Runkuracay, the second pass at 3.970 m. after a small break, we will head downhill for 1.5 hours towards Sayacmarca at 3.624 m. Sayacmarca is a beautiful complex with great views of the valley. After a brief story, we continue on to Chakicocha for lunch. In the afternoon, after lunch, we continue on following a beautiful stone pathway which will lead us up to our third campsite Phuyupatamarca pass at 3.700 m, from where we will be able to see the magnitude of the Inca's ancient craft, the Andean geography, the impressive views of Urubamba Valley, and a few minutes further down below from the campsite an archeological complex of the same name.</p><p>Curiously Phuyupatamarca means "place covered the clouds".</p><p></p><p> Meals: Snacks, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.</p><p> Accommodation: Sleeping in tents.</p><p> Estimated walking time: About 6 hours including breaks.</p><p> Walking distance: 6.2 Miles/10 Km</p><p> Difficulty: Moderate</p>

<p>On our 4th day of our journey, we will wake up early, to have another impressive day looking the valleys. After a good breakfast, we will head downhill passing through Phuyupatamarca ruins, we will enter the lush green vegetation, bamboo forest, this downhill takes about 3 hours until Intipata, a wonderful Inca site made up principally of terraces and some enclosures. From here we will be able to see part of the Machu Picchu mountain, and down below our lunch spot at Wiñaywayna 2.615m. In the afternoon, after lunch, we continue on our trek toward Intipunku (The Sun Gate), it will take us 1.5 hours of hiking until we will get to see Machu Picchu. Here we can take a deep breath and say we made it, after a small break and lots of pictures, we will descend about one hour to exit the park to take the bus which will drive to Aguas Calientes town we will stay at a 3 stars hotel, our last supper will be at a restaurant in town.</p><p></p><p> Meals: Snacks, Breakfast. Lunch and dinner in town.</p><p> Accommodation: Hotel room in Aguas Calientes.</p><p> Estimated walking time: 7 hours walk.</p><p> Walking distance: 7,4 Miles/ 12 km</p><p> Difficulty: Moderate</p>

<p>Early in the morning after breakfast, we will take the bus to visit Machu Picchu. Be sure you are carrying your passport the one you have booked with, once in the citadel, your guide will give you a background information about the Inca city, then he will show you the most important sectors in the citadel, after 2 hours guided tour you will have plenty of time for further exploring.</p><p></p><p>Note: If you purchased the admission tickets to climb Wayna Picchu Mt or Machu Picchu Mt, your guide will give you some instructions to know where and when you should leave, it could take 1.5 to 2 hours back and forth for Wayna Picchu and 3 hours for Machu Picchu mountain.</p><p></p><p>The guide will meet you at Aguas Calientes town for lunch. Afterward, we take our return train to Ollantaytambo, where our private transportation will be waiting for us, we drive 2 hours back to Cusco.</p><p></p><p> Meals: Breakfast. Lunch is not included today.</p><p> Accommodation: Back to hotel in Cusco.</p><p> Estimated walking time: 2 hours tour in Machupicchu.</p><p> Walking distance: -/ -</p><p> Difficulty: Easy.</p>
