<p>For this one day adventure, we will pick you up from your hotel early at 4:30 am. It is about 3.5 hour driving to the starting point. Along the road, we will see amazing views of the Andes until reaching the trailhead for this trek. Before we begin the trek, trekking cook will prepare a fresh breakfast. we start the adventure from the base of Chillca Valley at 3,700 m/12,139 ft. It will be a 3.5 hour uphill to the Rainbow Mountain. On our way, we will enjoy amazing views of the Andes, glacial peaks, red mountains, rocky hills, as well as llamas and alpacas grazing along the valley. As you reach the summit of the mountain, there is a chance to see wild vicunas wandering. This is the only place in Cusco where you can see this animal.</p><p>From the top, we will see what we were searching for the Rainbow mountain, valleys, Ausangate glacier (The tallest in Cusco region, raised up until 21,000 ft.); your guide will share some information about the composition of these mountains. Afterward, we will begin our trek downhill back to the lunch spot. After lunch, you may visit some of the local homes, who still practice the ancient traditions of the Incas, they speak the Quechua language, being the agriculture the main activity they also weave textiles selling in markets in Cusco. Finally, we continue to Chillca village from where we drive on our private van back to Cusco, arriving around 6 pm.</p><p></p><p> Meals: Snack, Breakfast, Lunch.</p><p> Accommodation: Hotel in Cusco</p><p> Estimated walking time: about 7 hours</p><p> Walking distance: 9 Miles / 14.5km.</p><p> Difficulty: demanding</p>
