<p>We will pick you up from your hotel at 4 am. to begin our adventure. You will be driven in a private transportation to Tinki, the starting point of the trail. Tinki is a small rural village located near Ocongate at 3,900m. / 12,795ft. Here, you will meet your rider and their horses. Before we start the adventure, we will enjoy your first breakfast, then, you will start the gradual uphill hike, It will be three or four hours until we reach our lunch place. On our way to the lunch, we will have amazing views of Ausagnate Mountain, far in the distance. We will pass by small villages, and perhaps meet some local people, dressed in their traditional clothing. They may be accompanying their llamas and alpacas.</p><p>Our lunch spot is in an amazing location, surrounded by stunning mountains and an excellent view of Ausangate Glacier peak. <p>Today will be a challenging day on our adventure, after an early breakfast, we will have a three-hour uphill until we reach the first pass at 5,000m / 16,404ft. high, we will have wonderful views of the Ausangate glacier peaks, the lakes, and small waterfalls, perhaps condors soaring above. You will have magnificent views of the surrounding area, especially in the dry season. In winter time, we will hike through the snow especially on top of the mountains, we will most likely get to see vicuñas, the undomesticated animal in the Andes. They belong to the family of Andean camelids. Nowadays, their leather is the most expensive wool the world.</p><p>After a small break and many pictures, we will continue on our way for two and a half hours gradual downhill until we reach a beautiful area, where you will enjoy your second day’s lunch. Afterward, it will be another two and a half hours until we arrive at our campsite, at Puca Ccocha (Red Lake). This is a spectacular camping spot, located at the base of the Ausangate peak. <p>Today will be a challenging day on our adventure. After a good breakfast, we will start with a steep climb to Alpaca Pass at 5,100 m/ 16,732 ft. Along the way, we will have gorgeous views of Ausangate Glacier and the blue lakes the. Once we reach the summit of this mountain, you will be right in front of Ausangate mountain, so you will be able to enjoy the surrounding Valleys, and numerous Llamas grazing along these hills. After lots of great pictures, we will continue for two hours downhill until we reach our lunch spot at Chillca Valley, be aware that some sections of the trail can be a bit difficult to hike. After enjoying your lunch, you will continue on to the second pass of the day, called Vicuña pass, at 5,300 m / 17,388 ft. 1.5 hours trek to reach the pass. On our way to the pass, it may be possible to see condors and vicuñas, once we are done to the top of the mountain it will be gratifying to see our destination far at the distance. after a brief break, we will descend for 1.5 hours to Yanaccocha lagoon our campsite. <p>Today we reach to our goal, after an early breakfast with our trekking crew, we will gradually trek uphill for 1.5 until we reach the famous Rainbow Mountains and the Red Mountain Valley at 5,200 m / 17,060 ft. Our tour guide will take you to the perfect place to spot the views of the mountain. He will also explain why these mountains are different from any other mountains in the Vilcanota Range. Part of the difference is due to a composition of various minerals, which make different colors of stone striations in the middle of the Red Mountains. This is one of the key tourist highlights in South America, and one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Peru.</p><p>After taking our photos and enjoying the views, we will continue following the trail to the end of the Valley. This is all downhill, along in the Chillca Valley, the place where we will enjoy the last lunch.
